Corruption Prevention Commission of the Republic of Armenia

The Commission urges the members of the governing body of the parties to fulfill the requirement of the law and submit the declarations, at the same time, to prepare the annual reports of the parties for 2021.

On September 2 employees of the Corruption Prevention Commission online participated in the "Whistleblowers of Corruption in Ukraine. successes and challenges" conference. Representatives of non-governmental organizations, private companies, as well as state departments of different countries participated in the discussion. During the conference, a number of problems related to the optimization of whistleblowing were discussed.

The fight for integrity never stops and can be crowned with success only thanks to highly motivated and new teams.

The Corruption Prevention Commission attaches great importance to high accountability and transparency in cooperation with international partners. The availability of Model Rules of Conduct of Public Servants in English is another step in this direction.

To equip the staff with as many professional specialists as possible, who in their image, in any behavior, and in internal beliefs will be identical to the mission of prevention and rejection of corruption, will show zero tolerance for corruption and will be ready to contribute to the establishment of the institution of prevention of corruption to the best of their ability, bringing a significant part of the society to the law-aware field, will be ready to arm themselves with new professional knowledge, skills and abilities, in the process of institutionalization of the Commission, they will contribute not only to increasing the efficiency of work, but also to set a higher qualitative and quantitative benchmark.

On August 16-18, within the framework of the EU Twinning Program ‘Fostering integrity and preventing corruption in the public sector in Armenia,’ a working discussion was held with the participation of the responsible employees of the program components of the Corruption Prevention Commission and Twinning experts. Representatives of the USAID "Integrity of Armenia" program and the Council of Europe office in Yerevan also participated in the discussion.

The report contains the works arising from the powers defined by the charter of each department, including data related to the declaration process and implemented proceedings, some statistics, information on the Commission's interaction with local and international structures, clarifications provided to various requests, as well as some details of what to do next are presented.

The Commission attaches great importance to public oversight in preventing corruption in our country. The implementation of measures aimed at public awareness also stems from the international obligations assumed by Armenia, including the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.

Department of Research Integrity of the Corruption Prevention Commission conducted a study of the integrity of 261 candidates for public office, as a result of which 257 advisory conclusions were submitted to relevant bodies.

The Commission issued a notice on July 8, 2022, to launch the e-declaration system, providing a username and password and offering a one-month deadline to submit relevant declarations by August 8, 2022.

They related to the ratio of powers and responsibilities of the bodies of the state administration system, powers of state bodies and administration, delegation of assignments and powers, as well as project, time management and conducting effective negotiations.

Taking into account the importance of the Model Rules of Conduct of Public Servants and the need to raise awareness among the public about them, below we present certain provisions from the code of conduct.
